Strategic Cultural Partnerships
Bringing Shakespeare to life
The launch of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s (RSC) Shakespeare Curriculum, ‘the most important development in the teaching of Shakespeare in a generation’, marked Charanga's first expansion into arts education.
The Shakespeare Curriculum will turn Shakespeare’s 10 most studied plays into a 24-part creative learning series, bringing the RSC’s unique blend of theatre practice, research, and digital innovation into schools worldwide.
Distilling the RSC’s award-winning teaching approaches into a bespoke digital platform built by Charanga, the resource has everything teachers and students need to teach and learn about Shakespeare, immersing them in the creative world of an RSC rehearsal room.
Inspiring future musicians
Through partnership with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO), Scotland's national orchestra and one of the UK's leading cultural institutions, Charanga helps more young people experience the exhilaration of live orchestral music.
Teachers and students can access a suite of bespoke educational materials alongside the RSNO's most popular digital education resources directly from the Charanga platform, bringing the expertise and artistry of a world-renowned orchestra into classrooms globally.
Rehearsal rooms are places where we explore possibilities ... we question, experiment, and bring our own experiences and interpretations to Shakespeare’s stories.
That spirit of collaboration and creative enquiry sits at the very heart of the Shakespeare Curriculum: bringing the energy of the rehearsal room into schools, turning classrooms into places where enquiry, co-operation and creativity flourish.
